Default 2106 CX5 electronics issue

My car is driving fine but lately I've been having some weird electronics related issues.

Started with my wipers coming on when I first start my car even when they are in the off position

Then my wife has issues with the car not unlocking or not starting right away (so far it always ends up opening and starting)

The last thing is the passenger seat belt alert going off in the middle of the trip when there is no passenger or anything in the seat.

Anyone else experience anything like this...seems like with so many electronic issues at once that they might be related

Unless you have a time machine, I'm going to assume you have a 2016. Very often when things like this start happening, it's a sign that your battery is on its way out. It still has enough power to run things usually and start the car, but voltage fluctuations can drive the computerized stuff bonkers.

Don't just have the battery checked for voltage, but have it load tested. If it passes, then you're in for the fun of chasing electrical gremlins.

yes my "2106 CX5" ... Wait til you guys see it ...oops!

My 2016....

Your comment about the battery is interesting. I got a brand new battery at Jiffy Lube (I had to ...the car wouldn't start randomly one day and it couldn't be jumped. Luckily a Jiffy Lube was across the street)

But I'll have my mechanic look at the battery

Thanks ,

noted your first problem and stopped there......wiper problem as you described points to the BCM.. Have you received a documentation from Mazda that includes your Mazda for a BCM replacement under WARRANTY. If not contact Mazda and have them run your VIN. There is an cautionary about the BCM which may solve all your problems?

Mazda Recall Information Center

If you Mazda has none then you need to seek either a independent service shop that employees a Automotive currently certified Technician or Mazda service.

I do not recommend to use any service shop that does not have with these certifications or you may be paying for more diagnostic work with them hitting and missing the cause and solution.

A lot of that happening lately??? lol
