Default 2023 cx-5 premium - memory seat function

Picked up a 23 Premium edition - Love it - However it has one thing that baffles me ....The power seat (drivers side)
has memory function just as my 22 CE did- Each time I get in , the seat moves back allowing what I surmise is easier ability to get in . I honestly dont want the power seat moving every time I get in then having to hit the memory selection to get back into driving position ....anyone know how to get this thing to stay put ?
Thanks fellow CX5 drivers !!!

The seat and the key fob each have their own memory.
After you have set the seat and saved it to the seat's memory, you must also save the seat settings to the fob one more time.
When you open the door with the key fob it will use the seat settings from the key fob.

You're welcome.

Strictly speaking the settings are not stored IN the key fob, but somewhere in the car. The car recognises the key fob while unlocking the door and adjusts the driver's seat.
The same applies to the second key fob. With two memory settings for the seat itself and two memory settings for both key fobs you can actually store four different driver's seat settings.
