Definitely a problem with the Mazda CX-5 navigation system. NavKings sent a second card with same results. When I insert the sd card the system continually reboots. Car only has 781 miles on it at this point and dealer checked out the system but could find no problems. Only way the dealer will investigate further or fix the system is if I purchase the $399 navigation sd card from them. Then if it doesn’t work they will fix it under warranty. Looks like if I want the navigation system I will have to fork over the $399 for the “official” Mazda sd card.
I don't know if you have already purchased the dealer card, but I just bought one on ebay for $54. The description said it did have 3 years free updates but the reviews were half and half as to whether or not they were able get the free updates. Mine was recognized by the Mazda Toolbox and I was given the 3 years of updates! When I sorted the reviews for the most recent, I noticed that all the recent purchases from this seller have all gotten the 3 years of updates! If you'd like the link to the seller I purchased from I'd be glad to provide it. It shipped from Florida and got to me days before it was expected. I'm very pleased. I have the 2021 CX-5 Grand Touring with the GT package.
This is major issue with #CX5 #MazdaCX5
I suggest you use social media too - let #Mazda know we are human beings , who somehow by mistake have purchased their cars and now paying cost of that mistake.
Yes, #MazdaCada denies this issue exists - and they want 500 CAD for replacing that card which is brutal treatment and comes in category of fleecing money.
