2020 CX-5 shake/vibration problem
Hi Everyone
it seems shake/vibration issue is quite common in CX-5? I just purchased 2021 brand new cx-5 a week ago here in New Zealand and i feel really annoying shaky/vibration when it's on idle especially in "D" shift.
I can feel the vibration through my whole body which is bloody annoying and makes me tired after I got off from the car!! I've driven many cars but this is my first time experience that new car has this kind of problem. Even my wife's 10years old Golf does not have this problem.
I've brought my car back to the dealership and they've told that adjusted the engine mount but still the same.. what could possibly goes wrong with this???
I've searched regard to this matter but mostly it happens to the old cars?? Anyone have ideas??

had my vehicle for 4 months....from day one there has been the annoying vibration from hell. Rebalanced - Nothing, Road Balance - made it worse, Changed out the entire tire and wheel ensemble - nothing, Removed axel - nothing, removed springs - nothing, removed brakes-nothing, so now they are fighting with Toyo and Mazda to see if we can switch out the tires.
From what I have read there is an issue with the Toyo tires. I even wrote to Toyo and they replied with the following: "Thank you for contacting Toyo Tires U.S.A. Corp. The original equipment tire that came installed on your new vehicle is a custom tire produced by Toyo Tires on behalf of your vehicle manufacture. Toyo Tires provides our Limited Warranty for Original Equipment & Light Truck Tires for five years from the date of new vehicle purchase, to the original purchaser. The limited warranty covers the tires for any workmanship and material defects as diagnosed by your service center. The warranty does not provide coverage for any outside influence that induces damage to the tires including but not limited to road hazards, irregular wear, rapid wear etc. The original equipment tire does not offer an expectation of mileage and does not come with a mileage warranty." So that certainly didn't get me anywhere....but...these tires are made especially for Mazda and cannot be bought off the rack so its interesting that this seems to be a Mazda issue and not other Toyo tires! I love the car! Turbo is amazing! But this vibration is very very painful!!! Yes I could simply go buy a new set of tires and the problem will be solved. But that does not fix the problem. It only fixes it for me. I have had 3 different 2021 loaners and they ALL do the same thing! If more people complained then maybe Mazda would fix it. I drive my car a lot and its a vibration that you feel in your seat. It happens between 60 and 70 MPH. If anyone is having the same issue please write here so something can be done to fix this annoying issue.

Have you checked the wheel alignment? My CX5 had a unbearable shake which came on at 50 mph. All the wheel balancing done by Mazda did nothing. A wheel alignment revealed the rear passenger wheel was toed-out by a mile. With that corrected, the extremely harsh (and painful) vibration was gone! BUT it revealed a more subtle vibration at higher speeds. I thought Mazda would sorted this out long ago considering how many CX5 s are on the road.
The auto major manufactures tire and wheel installation which is robotically and done and computer controlled with a specific program that also looks for balancing issues virtually eliminated either the wheel or the tire from being out of round. They measure so close that any combination of single part is out be a fraction more then .005 or less it is NOT installed on a production vehicle. The standard aftermarket is .010 or more which will cause some small vibrations as high speeds, but even at .010 you can break down a tire and wheel and reposition to counter for .010 or of round.
The other FACT is that tires all have different manufactured dates and the chances of getting to tires on a production vehicle out of round are like guessing the lotto numbers. So having more than one with a problem really is not reasonably possible.
Had to suggested that the tire was damage by an unseen or found impact that cause the belts or piles causing a vibration then I would have applauded your post.

I have had new tires fail, both on OEM tires and after purchasing from a tire store. Bubbles have formed, belts have failed. It isn't always caused by impact. At least not in my case. When someone asks a question on the forums, you are making suggestions (i.e. Guesses) based on the information provided. This is how it works... I don't have to go to the posters house, study his issue, drive his car, take it to a tire shop and then make suggestions. Lol.

Sure man... My point is many things can happen to tires that were supposedly "good" when put on at the factory. Not all of them were caused by the owner of the car either.
I actually edited and removed the original response to you. Maybe you will still see it in your watched thread listing?
