The actual problem were the OEM tires. The Mazda dealership would not do anything else with the vehicle and we were left with the shake. We took the car to our trusted private mechanic we use for most of our repairs and I had him replace the tires. Once the Toyo tires were off, our mechanic discovered that one of the tires had a flat spot. You couldn't see it but if you took your hand and laid it against the tread while rolling the tire across the floor, a flat spot could definitely be felt on one tire. So in reality, the one tire was not round.
In theory I guess they should but in reality, that's not happening. First off, the Mazda new car warranty does not cover tires. They would just tel me to go to a tire retailer that sells Toyo tires and ask them to replace the bad tire. But I don't want Toyo tires so I'm not looking for a replacement, we already took care of replacing all four tires. In addition, the dealership where we bought the car is 1.5 or so hours away and it's just simply a hassle to drive there, argue with them, sit around waiting for someone to make a decision, argue with that decision and all in all, lose a day of work on something that should be quite simple. Now we have an AC problem that's blowing hot air. Stealership where we bought it want's nothing to do with it...unless we pay. I'm very disappointed in how Mazda treats their customers. A brand new car that's been on the road for nine months shouldn't have AC problems, or any other kind of problem IMHO. So the wife is going to take it to a different dealer and see if they will look at the AC. It's supposed to be covered by the new car warranty but they don't seem to want to do warranty work. I guess if this dealer refuses to look at it unless we are paying customers, we'll have to call Mazda and see why there's a problem.

So you told them on the phone that the AC was blowing hot air, and they said it wouldn't be covered under warranty? If not that exact conversation, then can you post exactly what they said? Keep in mind that no one here was standing next to while you talked to them. And BTW, I'm no Mazda fanboy trying to stick up for this outfit, but it's just that this isn't making sense to me, because refusing to do valid warranty work would be a good way to become a former Mazda dealer.
Strange, in Denmark we have a 3 year plate to plate warranty or 100000 km, or whichever comes first, on a brand new Mazda.
The warranty covers everything.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Mazda only puts a 1,000km warranty on tyres, after that its up to the tyre Manufacture to take care of any tyre complaints.

pretty sure .............. that's what all those extra info pamphlets are in the owners manuals for information to read that very few ever do.
Another thing often on forum when it evolves any dealership....I would like to see the actual write up posted on threads to exactly what ,when, and where was done inspected and concluded? But that in over 2 decades on forum almost NEVER happens. So we are stuck with a short HE said SHE said version instead of what might have actually happened?
Hello Mazda forum members. I’m new here as my wife and I purchased our first Mazda yesterday. We got a 2020 machine grey Mazda CX 5 Grand Touring with the GT Premium Package and 2.5L engine. We drove many different brands and models before choosing the CX 5. It’s technically my wife’s vehicle and she’ll be using it as her daily driver. She does about 40,000 miles a year so we’re hoping for a long satisfying ride.
During our drive home last evening, we noticed that the car shakes. It feels like if you drove your car with the tires seriously out of balance. It shook at speeds between 20mph to 70mph and everywhere in between. It wasn’t anything that was dangerous but definitely very annoying and uncomfortable. Once we got home I Googled the problem and it seems Mazda has a reputation for shaking. There were many attempts to fix it from rebalancing the tires to doing a road force balance. Other causes for the shaking was due to bad brakes or alignment issues. It seems the fix that actually solved most peoples problem were new tires. Apparently, the Toyo tires they use on the new vehicles have a high rate of being egg shaped. Now I did a search on this forum but didn’t really find anything. That may be due to my rookie status.
My wife called the manager this morning and they are picking up the car Monday morning. We live 90 minutes from the dealership so this is very nice of them. The manager told her it sounded like the tires needed balanced. My question is if rebalancing the tires doesn’t fix the issue, is it reasonable to ask them to install new tires of a different brand? And if they agree to do that, who pays for it? Tires are a wear item and not covered by warranty but this shouldn’t be happening in a new car with less than 150 miles. In my Google search, people were saying do not allow the dealership to swap tires/wheels from a different CX 5 they have on the lot. There’s no guarantee putting other Toyo tires on as it’s highly unlikely it will fix the problem. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you get it fixed.
Beware. Do not let them put Westlake Tires on your vehicle. There is not one good thing about thlose tires at all. A Dealership in Wesley Chapel, Florida, took off the TOYO tires and is selling their vehicle with Westlake! Just giving you a heads-up!
Hi my 2020 CX-5 GT also had same issue
Vibration came from steering wheel and seats.
i did tire rotations twice at the dealership but same issue keep came up.
So since i'm korean i searched about why there is vibration on my brand new car
and there was answer on Korean mechanic forum
He said empty your gas and go to different gas station brand and get premium gas(91~) and do some test drive.
then if there is no vibration go to mid-grade gas(89) after than go to regular gas(87).
and try to use that gas station brand only.
He said gas station in US, even though they put as 'regular (about 87), mid-grade (about 89) and premium (91)'
depend on gas brand, it has different compatibility with car engines.
At the first time i was like 'man that's freaking bull ****. It just gas. Not a science lab's chemistry experiment'
But i was pretty frustrated about vibration on my car so i tried what he said.
I went to 'Shell gas station' and got premium gas as full and did test drive
Holy mama car vibration was gone. it just gone like a magic.
I was really really happy when i headed to home with no vibration.
Some people here would think i'm talking about bull **** but i was struggled about this issue more than months
and read every post about vibration and no progress. For some car it might be wheel or tire problem but maybe answer is simple.
The gas station brand.
I recommend don't go to the cheapest gas station. there would be reason why that gas station is so cheaper than
other major gas station brand.
applogy about my broken english. but guys try this way it'll save a lot of your money.

Fuel quality can be very important. Old fuel increases the chance of water in the gas and it can deteriorate - that's why you use gas stabilizer when you store a car more than a few weeks. My Stihl chain saw and leaf blower won't even start if I use a gas mix from the previous year. Also, the fuel companies put more and better additives in the premium blends so that can be a factor as well.
Generally, here in the states, the fuel is checked periodically by the state government to insure that 87 is 87 and 93 is 93, but I don't believe they check on the age of the fuel. Also, an 89 might really be a combination of 91 and 87, either by design through the pumping system or by just filling the underground tanks that way.
Running higher octane for the sake of higher octane won't get you more power unless your vehicle is tuned to use it (the turbo models for example), but if the lower octane fuel is crap, it won't hurt to use a higher octane (except in the wallet).
