Ok, y'all, need help. Just bought the Mazda and can't get the Navi to work, not the Mazda Navi or Android Auto. Mazda DOES have its own Navigation, correct? It's not necessary to use Android Auto is it? I can't get anything to work, thinking I may need a new card. 🤔 My phone is only 6 months old and I used Android Auto a month ago in a rental, so it's not the phone, has the latest OS. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. ❤️

 

You can get a navigation SD card for like $50 on Amazon to use the Mazda system. Because you have a 2017 you most likely need to have Carplay installed to your head unit.

 

I'm not familiar with Carplay or how to put it on. Doesn't Mazda have its own navigation? I don't get it. It should have navigation even if it's out of date, a new card should fix that. Already found new card on Navi World. Saw that recommended in the forums. But I can't get even the Mazda Navi to load.

 

Sorry I meant Carplay/Android Auto. Mazda has its own navigation which you can access in the infotainment screen. It will not work without the SD card. Mazda can install the Carplay/Android Auto into your car but it'll be like $500 or so. That feature works when your phone is plugged into your car.

 

It has an SD card in it and Android Auto came with my phone but nothing will connect, not AA or Mazda Navi. It just sits there spinning until it gives up. No issue connecting Bluetooth. But no navigation of any kind will load. 🤬

 

I know both my phone and AA works fine, used it 4 weeks ago in a rental car. 🤷

 

It tried it with the USB as directed, but nothing. It's too old for wireless, like the rental, so says Mazda.

 

Try taking the SD card out and see if the system works better.

 

Did that. Instructions say to only remove or re insert with car off. Did that. 🤬 No help. Can't get it in until Fri to get it checked out. I'm gonna try turning off Bluetooth and my phone so there's no interference and see if the Mazda Navi will come up. 🤞🤞🤞

 

Also made sure the card wasn't locked. Car can't read it if it's locked. 🤷 Man I've tried everything I can think of except having the Bluetooth and phone off. Will try that tomorrow. May need a new SD card. We'll see Friday.
