Navigation issues
Just bought a 2017 CX5 GT and can't get the Navigation system to work. Neither the Mazda or Android Auto. It just sits there and spins. Bluetooth connected to my phone, no problem. Because of the year, I can't connect wirelessly, so k followed instructions to connect with USB to my phone. Still nothing. Any ideas? Wasn't sure where to post this, figured Tech would work. Thanks y'all! 😊
Edit to add: according to the Mazda website, it has to be 2019 or newer, but the manual says it can be used. 🤷

A few things to check - is your phone updated to the latest OS? You may also want to try resetting the head unit and reconnecting. If still no luck, a dealer can diagnose better. Hope you get it working soon!
Yes, latest Android OS on my phone. Problem is I can't get any navigation to work, not the built in Mazda or Android Auto, it just sits and spins until it gives up. Going back to the dealer this afternoon to see if they can figure it out. I even tried turning my phone off and using the Mazda Nav and it won't load. 🤷
Doesn't the Mazda have its own navigation system? Is there a reason I have to use Android Auto? My Camry has its own and I just Bluetooth my phone for handsfree calling, etc. The CX5 is 9 yrs newer. 😠
