Strange Issue
So, we've been enjoying our CX-30 since April. However, recently a warning came on that indicated the safety features were disabled and high beams weren't working. We took it in for service. 2 days later the dealership told us they need to order a new camera which will take 3-4 weeks. They did put us in a brand new 2020 CX-5 loaner which isn't shabby. But it is entry-level and just reminds us of everything we miss about the CX-30 (touch entry, sunroof, Bose audio, heads up display, great seats, etc.). We traded in a '17 CX-5 for our CX-30 and I had forgotten how much clearer the display is in the CX-30. I think the dealership was more than fair, but we can't wait to get the CX-30 back.
I think some CX-5 owners have had a similar issue. They just aren't enough CX-30s around to tell.

I noticed a similar problem in my 2019 Mazda3 when I park facing the sun and get in for the first time of the day in the afternoon. The auto headlights don’t work and I get a warning message. Too much hot sun on the cameras. 10 minutes into the drive and it fixes itself.

There's a TSB for that issue, which is an overheated rain sensor (infrared camera, PN BDGF-66-5G0B) that is also used as the automatic headlight sensor. Mazda dealer replaced mine for free on TSB: 09-036/19
