Default ok this will be a hard one...

Ok my car is a 92 323 1.6 lit. 4cly. Manual. Every thing is pretty much stock except for a few things that were replaced but all are OE.

Ok lately when I am trying to give it some gas in about 2nd gear and up it feels like its just reving aslong as I hold the gas so I left of for a bet, I guess to let it catch up then it works just fine no over revining.

I know this is so hard to explain with out having someone drive it or listen to it.

Also sometimes I can hear a sqeeking, soulds like my drive belt or a pully or tensiner or something like that? Not sure what its is but it sould eather like its loose or its just sliping just a bit sometimes.

Any help or advice on what to look for would be great thanks guys.

Sounds very much like the clutch is slipping and bad. Give this a try. At a full stop with foot fully on brake pedal, rev the engine up to 3000 rpm, put trans in third gear, and then let up on the clutch quickly. If the engine stalls out right off then clutch is ok. If anything other then may have a slippling clutch. Post back with what happened OK.

Ok will try that today before or after work. Not sure where 3000 is at, because I don't have an RPM guage but I can figure it out (hopefully).

I'll post back with the results.

Thanks babyhuey.

Ok well it did stall, I am not sure where 3000 RPMs are at since I don't have a Tack so I tryed it a couple of times at diffrent revs.... It did die... so I guess the clutch isn't that bad so who knows.

Its running fine to day so hehe....

Got a good burn out today after work... lol I know its so bad but I want to get ride of this firestone tires I have in the front... bleh..

How much do clutchs run for?

How much would it cost to get on put in parts time and labor?
