Question Car battery fully discharged after a four-day absence (2010 MAZDA3)

Hi everyone,

We have a 2010 MAZDA3. Yesterday, after leaving the car in the garage for four days, we noticed that we were unable to unlock the doors using the remote key fob.

In addition, it was not possible to even manually unlock the door by turning the key in the lock.

Has anyone ever had a problem with being unable to unlock their car door using the key itself, in the event of a flat battery?

Have you ever tried locking or unlocking the car via the door barrel before? What happens when you try turning the key clockwise or counter-clockwise?
