2003 mazda protege lx engine code p0106

Default 2003 mazda protege lx engine code p0106

hi,im new to this site.i have a 2003 mazda protege lx with 83,000 miles on it.ive been keeping up on it.i changed the plugs,wires,antifreeze,thermostat,gas cap,alt,the 2 belts,radio,head light bulbs,terminals,oil,air filter,battery,etc. now the engine light is coming on with the code..p0106...advanced auto parts put it on the computer n said it was the map sensor....the guy said that it could be a # of things thou. its been running a little rough lately..since we changed the battery it does start up alot better.does anyone know what might be rong with my car..ty for taking the time n reading my post.

i un hooked the battery,took the map sensor apart n the vacs. cleaned all the grounds checked all the vacs., n so far it seemed to work.the engine light hasnt come back on.

I was wondering why it was always hard starting when its cold out..lol i was running 10 40 oil in it...when it calls for 5w30...its running good now

I see having a conversation with ones self is the only way to get a response on this forum. Pretty sad when you actually look at the threads here and see the lack of input from "members". I am on other car forums that have people jumping all over posts like this (or my original thread) offering help and feedback, but this place is DEAD.

What do Mazda forum people talk about, posing?
