Hi,
I've got a 2001 MX5 and the volume has just disappeared on the stereo. Everything else seems to be working fine and leads seem to be attached in the back OK. CD plays, volume level shows on screen, radio tunes in, etc. Just no sound from speakers at all. Anyone able to help me on this?

Sounds to me like the power amp blew.
Time for a radio repair shop or a replacement head unit.

 

may be cheaper to just replace the head unit with after market, the plus is a better sound.
