Default 2004 ES Stereo Volume **** - flimsy?

Are the volume ***** on these stereos a frequent break item? Dealer says they're $15 each!! Ouch.

The stereo in my ES is the 6-CD changer + AM/FM/Cassette.

Thanks

EDIT: Bought the car yesterday and my salesman came up with another **** today.

With no replies, I guess that this is not a common weak point.

Have seen a few ***** breaking on various models mmiller2002 but not any number being specific to Tribute. A broken **** should be covered under the normal warranty anyway. We always do.

That may be so if I didn't buy the car with 71K miles. Out of warranty. The only thing left in warranty is probably the catalytic converter.
