speedy.. im pretty sure that htere are no rx-8s that are automatic.. and if there were... it would be a sad car... and not worth driving lol

They come as a 6 sp manual, or a 6-sp auto.... When you order the optional 6 sp auto, as an extra added bonus (besides paying an additional $800Am,) you get a 20hpdecrease (that's right!! DEEECREASE) in hp from 232 to 212. What a bargin!!!
They should give you 20 xtra hp to make up for the loss through the tranny/converter!!

thank you richard for spelling my name. now i wasnt sure if they did and then if you read i also said i think it would be extremely pointless to buy a standard rx-8. its like buying a porsche 911 turbo in automatic.. you could do it but it would be incredibly pointless. those cars (sport cars) are meant in manuals not automatics.

That was my point too, especially w/the drop in hpto go along w/it. I was just providing"researched" information. (So touchy these days....
)And if I'm not mistaken (non-researched information) the 911T uses an electronically shifted manual tranny, like some BMW's, and VW'sdo. Usually twin clutch plates and can shift smoother and faster than both of us together on our best days. I'd be up for that!!

actually for cars meant for the q-mile auto is better if u want to hit 8's or 9's.. hoos gonna ahve time to shift?? btw my friend showed me a video of a 7 second 6 spd supra.. now thats amazing..
