Default Harassment from Mazda

I recently took my CX-5 to the local dealer. They asked if I wanted to sell them my nearly new car. I said , "No!". Since then, I have been harassed by calls that show the local number but it is somebody who is not from the dealership saying that I inquired about selling my car and to call them. The callback number is never local.

I've asked to be taken off their list. I've talked to the local dealership to take me off the list. I've emailed Mazda customer service, as well. The calls continue!

Also, I get emails every week saying I need to replace my cabin filter. Which I did myself. The address looks like someone from the local dealership but if I respond to the email, it is undeliverable.

Some may say to ignore this all but it's just so wrong and has soured me to Mazda as a whole. I can't make it stop. My number is on the Do Not Call registry but they say that I inquired so they are allowed to call. I never inquired. Any suggestions on how to stop this?

Thanks.

Its not just MAZDA.... but almost all brands of vehicles. I get the same thing from BMW and Ford, along with Mazda.
I would tell the next person that called you sold your Mazda privately.

Review any paperwork or agreements you may have signed with the dealership. Ensure there isn't fine print that allows them to contact you even if you didn't expressly inquire about selling your car.

LOL really show me that is on a Dealership contract from any auto manufacture platform???

We live in a time that as soon as you enter your information anywhere that is on the big W.W.W. you are exposed to everything!!!!

It is funny in the year 2023 to read that some don't understand that yet?? hahahaha!

BTW nfor other members COLD CALLING from salesman at dealership has been used for decades at least over 50 years. LOL
