Hi folks. Am a new member, and hope I'll be accepted.
Recently bought a B2500 4x2 single cab diesel pickup truck (2003). Has done 86,000 miles, which I think is quite low for its age.
My problem is that apart from the "Glow Plug" indicator, none of the warning lights are working on the lower section of the instrument panel.
On turning the key to "on", would expect to see (low oil pressure); (ignition/charge); (handbrake) indicators etc., but none are functioning at all.
All the gauges work fine, and it just passed its MOT with no advisories at all, even with the warning indicators not functioning.
Want to get them working again for obvious reasons.
Trouble is, I can't seem to find a workshop manual for this model anywhere, and particularly need the wiring diagram.
Think the B2500 is similar to the Ford Ranger, but the only manuals I can find, seem to be for petrol engines, such as the B2000/B2200/B2300/B2600/B4000.
This truck must have an ECU somewhere, looking at the sensors all over the engine, but not even sure where that is located yet.
I just need assistance to source a workshop manual for this model. It seems to be of the older type - whereby it might not have a diagnostics/fault codes socket,
but you have to make a link in the "diagnostics box"- and then count the flashes on the "glow plug indicator" to read what fault codes the ECU has logged.
Have considered contacting Mazda UK - but very much doubt they would be interested in a 20 year old truck!
Any assistance would be gratefully received.
