Mazda CX-5 won't start due to immobilizer
Help. I ran out of gas. After refilling, my CX-5 will not start. The Immobilizer Key light is on. I will need to arrange towing to a Mazda Dealer they say. I can't even get the car out of park so the normal guy can't tow it. They have to put the car up on dollies just because of this stupid "security" feature.
Does anyone know how to reset this immobilizer system. I have both fobs.
BTW The car has no key ignition. Just a push button.

Go & check every single fuse for power at both sides. There are two fuse boxes 1 under the bonnet & 1 in either the LF or RF kick panel.
If that all checks out, use the end of the remote to push the start button, sounds weird but trust me. (Try both ends of the remote)

Does the red light flash on your remotes when the buttons are pushed?
Also try pushing the start button with both remotes.
Also try disconnecting the battery, leave t for 15 / 20 minutes, reconnect it and try to start it.
Simple things to try before phoning the to truck.
