Default Mazda 2, 2015, 5 door, 1500 cc rear seat belt

The rear driver side seat belt of my Mazda 2 has jammed in the fully retracted position and I need to replace it. Can anyone advise if a 'universal belt ' ( eg Carpoint 3-point belt) can be fitted easily to replace the broken belt as a new Mazda original part is very expensive.
Thank you

You will need to check and see if the factory seatbelts are pretensioner type ( SRS - Airbag system)

Thank you. I checked and the belt is connected to the Airbag system. What will happen if I disconnect that electrical connection and use a replacement universal belt ?

The entire Airbag system will be disabled.
