Default Hello

Not sure where else to go because I've exhausted talking to my local Mazda dealership and Mazda US customer service line. Essentially, I got a 2011 Mazda used awhile back. I had recently taken it in because of the lovely heat shield issue that loves to happen every winter. This time I got pointed out a different thing. Basically, I live in a state where the recall was not covered (Nebraska), and unfortunately this car pretty much suffered the exact same issue. I was effectively told that it would not be repaired at cost by Mazda. I just wanted to alert to any other potential customers in the Nebraska area. Mine was a 2011. Due to lack of response on Mazda's, I've simply filed a report to NHTSA. Here are the recall numbers 19V323 / Mazda Recall 2818I I know that there's probably not a lot of these still around but I just don't want to have someone have the same experience I did. I was fortunate that I had to have ironically some break work done when the mechanics were checking the front side an found the gaping hole.. The Mazda i had had no history of it being in any of the other states listed in the recall.

Don't blame the manufacturer for salt issues. Talk to your local politician. We have places in WA where a car lasts 6-8 months and is then in the graveyard due to extreme rust.
And welcome to the forum.
