Default CX7

Hello from Texas.
Just purchased a 2007 CX7 last saturday, love the car but the mpg sure does bite. Any suggestions on how to help this? Can the boost be turned downd a bit. Had to laugh when I read about the guys who said his wife had lead foot, got one of them too.

Hey Brent!! A fellow Texan.
Don't reduce the boost, stab the pedal and shift to the next highest gearASAP!! That'll get you another 1-3MPG. The BMW engineers say so.

If you were looking exclusively for MPG, you picked the wrong car though. Too tall, too heavy, too fast and too big. Oh, and I forgot... too AUTOMATIC.
One word: Prius.

It'll do better for you in the summer - I find that letting mine shift itself bodes better for me than trying to force it up quicker.
