CX5 Snow Tires & Ride Quality
Hi folks I live in northern Ontario own a 2013 CX5 GS and recently put four new - 225/65R17- Michelin Latitude X-Ice X12 on 17 Sacchi S2 212 alloy rims.
This combination looks great and the rubber performs really well on both ice and snow conditions in very cold weather.
My question is around ride quality the vehicle on snow is smooth like the normal factory all seasons.
On dry pavement the vehicle seems to bounce not all the time but small road irregularities makes the vehicle bounce like a baby buggy.
Tire pressure is set at factory settings and I had the rims re-torqued as suggested by the retailer after a week on the road.
Is the ride all tire related or something else?
Thanks ..

I am not sure if I can answer this question sufficiently. Maybe they made the sidewalls very soft to increase the contact patch for extra traction.
Try raising the tire pressure a bit, maybe 10% to 20 % above recommendation but below the Max pressure indicated on the tire wall.
Let us know what you observe.
