Hey everyone! I just bought a 2002 Protege5/Famillia. I have been on a few other forums, but this one seems to be the most "new user" friendly. The problem I have is I am wondering what I purchased. I seem to have this Protege5 with options that my local dealership says were not offered on the car state side. Things like leather interior, my speedometer is in kilometers over MPH. Japanese manuals and VIN stickers. The other forums pretty much tell me I have a cloned out Japanese marketed car. How does one get ahold of Japanese VIN plates???? It is not a right side drive and the dealership paperwork is from a dealership in Hawaii. After running the VIN number it comes back with a point of origin of Hofu Yamegechi Japan. Is there a JDM Mazda? Or is this just a USDM with a manufacture point of origin of Japan?

Any help would be appreciated.
