Default Trunk Leak 05 Mazda ^Help!!!!

I was vacuuming out the trunk the other day and noticed that there was like 2 gallons of water in the spare tire well in the trunk. I dried it out and after a day of rain the spare tire well is full of water again. Any clues. The car is usually parked on a uphill incline driveway. The wierd thing is that the rest of the trunk is bone dry. It cant be comming from underneath because it hasnt been driven since i dried it out last time. Thanks for any input

next time you see that, look all around the trunk where the molding is, see if you can see a wet spot where the water could be comming in.

honestly thats about the only thing i can think of trying

Had a water leak into the rear of a 5-door with rear wiper/washer that was due to a broken retaining clip on the washer nozzle. Was not holding the nozzle tight against the body sheet metal and water just poured in when raining. Another possible source could be from the antenna. A water leak is covered under full warranty so the dealer should be diagnosing and repairing instead of you anyway. That is one of the nice things about having a new car.
