'01 Mazda Millenia~Trunk buttons won't open trunk.
Hi,
I have to use the key to open the trunk. I can hear the latch clicking when I try the button on the door &/or the remote but it won't open. Any Ideas? I've tried W-D 40 but it didn't help. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi bud! I had the same problem with my 02 milly. I must have bumped the on/off button in the glove compartment and turned it off.. It's a safty feature to protect from theft. Give it a try, it can't hurt. Hope it works, good luck. Or was it the gas lid? One of those two. Anyway check and see.

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the 'heads up' about the button in the glove box. I tried that but buttons still won't work. I can hear them clicking in the trunk like they're trying to open it but no go. I pulled the trunk emergency cord and re-set it and got the trunk to open with the remote 2 times then back to square 1--no go again. Any thoughts?
