Replaced MAF with Denso unit but it’s not perfect. Is Denso OEM?
Hey guys, I have a 2006 Mazda 6S 3.0 V6.
My car ran terrible at low RPM / low throttle, very low torque, hesitation, etc. I replaced the MAF with a Denso unit and it seemed to run great for the first 50-100 miles. Now it still runs pretty good (most wouldn’t be able to tell anything is off, but I can because I know how it’s supposed to feel)
I can feel little micro hesitations at low throttle, and it feels like the car is lacking some torque at low throttle / RPM. Similar symptoms as before but just not nearly as severe. However at full throttle it runs normal.
Aren’t the Denso units supposed to be OEM or no? It was $130 vs $200 for OEM. Wondering if I should just buy an OEM unit, but I just thought Denso was OEM.
Any thoughts?

Hmm this explains and supports what I responded directly to you on another thread. some DIY shouldn't work on their own vehicles. lol
Denso is not OEM. They may be used in some auto manufacture models just like spark plugs tires and many other parts that the auto manufacture uses aftermarket companies part for their vehicles.
Rule of thumb NEVER randomly replace parts without verifying by proper diagnostic work that a part has failed. Doing so often will create more problems than the original.
Your vague description of problem is missing lots off first looking at many operating system and conditions of other area's.

No, I did not specifically verify that the Denso unit was OEM before I bought it, but for other car manufacturers Denso is OEM so I just assumed.
why are you so aggressively argumentative? You’re also flat out wrong about aftermarket motor mounts. Period.

Um I would suggest your comment about being "flat out wrong" please spicify through empirical data or accurate information other than your opinion that I was or am.
You flip cars for a living well that say it all? rolmao
Really stop posting bull sheet! It is obvious you need to go to a shop that employees an experienced and trained Diagnostic Technician for your problem You are going about how to find the problem in a bad stepped format and IMHO based on reading now "ALL" your response likely missing important information to find you and solve your problems(s).

The length of time anyone has been working on cars does not mean they know what they are doing. From 1995 more so from 202 to present if you do not have some form of schooling or training from an institution you cannot even by self taught work on OBDII and CANbus operation system effectively. At best you would only be hit and missing and taking so much longer to find issues as seen on this and other threads from DIY.
