Mystery windshield sensors - help identify
New here, and unfortunately have to start with a question. Have 2018 Mazda 6 for two years now, and windshield is shot. So I took it to the reputable glass replacement place. They called me back asking what are the sensors on my windshield. Not the cluster in the middle. I have two more on the right side. Gone are the days when replacing windshield was $50 and 20 minutes. They just don't know what they are and refused to replace my glass. Help please. What are they? Do I need to buy new ones and apply to the glass? Or do I carefully undo them and stick to the new glass? The long-stirp-one seems to be willing to come off, not sure about square-loop-one.
I combed the internet but didn't find any references to it The car is loaded with everything available ( I think)
The one in the middle have a square metal loop, 1.5 inch on a side. You can see it on the outside picture
Thanks,
Vlad

Hi,
I have a 2016 Mazda 6 and my windshield sensor is the one that the rear-view is connected to. This is for the wipers I believe. I've never seen the ones in your photo. Did you buy this new? I agree with previous post of one maybe being for an add-on gps or maybe remote start?. I agree... I had to get mine replaced and it was like $900. Crazy!

Nope it's from the factory. I bought the car new from the dealer.
Turned out to be antennas for wireless start (MMS app). One is TEL antenna, and one is GPS. I was able to peel the off the glass, adhesive stayed on the glass. Not sure if I will be able to reinstall both using 3M adhesive film or will i have to buy whole new harness from the dealer...
