Exclamation Mazda6 electrical issue

Hello! I have a2006 Mazda 6 4cyl with an automatic transmission. I have had the car for about six months and recently the doors will not lock when the front driver or passenger lock buttons are pressed. The locks do not lock with the key fob either and the front cigarette lighter is also in-op. I took it to the mechanic here (not dealership) and there was nothing he could do. Does anyone have any idea on what is causing the issue or how I could fix it? All of the fuses look good and I don’t believe its the actuator due to the in-op cigarette lighter.

note: I am currently serving in Germany and my vehicle is American spec rather than European. When the power locks stopped working I was trying to reconnect the key fob to the vehicle. Any and all help is appreciated.
