Mazda 6 wheel quality
Hello All,
Just to share my experience on my 2015 mazda 6.
I bought a brand new mazda 6 (2.0L petrol) in 2015 equipped with the 19" wheels.
Unfortunately, the paint is coming off the wheels and I showed this to my garage and told me that this is a pure quality issue . This issue has been observed on all 4 wheels.
I did replace one of the wheels and in less rthan 1 yers, the same issue appear.
Just to let you know that this occurs in less than 2 years from the manufacturing date.
I was very disappointed with the warranty department of Mazda. I contact them to repair the wheels or replace them and the answer was no.
My advise, if you have to buy a mazda 6, don't go for the 19" wheels.
Or be very careful. The warranty at Mazda will not compensate you

From what you've said it sounds like they accept its a faulty product so to say, but do you wash the car yourself? Be careful what wheel cleaning products you use, your best off using standard car cleaning liquid and cleaning regularly (or a lot of effort cleaning occasionally) than a specific wheel cleaner. Hand car wash places spray on an acid for wheel cleaning, the black plastic center caps on my van wheels went grey with streaks where the acid had run down. Avoid hand car washes in general, they ruin your car, they use dirty water and if they drop a cloth they don't clean the grit out they just scratch your paint work and put a shiney finish on that looks good from a distance.
Refurb can be expensive, a cheap option is sand down and paint black... Or any colour you like to match the car, i know a guy with a white fiesta with mint green wheels and accesories, not a colour you might pick but it looks good on that car

Thabnk you for your reply.
The mazda warranty said no to my claim.
They know that this is a qulaity issue. Even the technician from the garage told me that they are aware about it and of course they are avoiding the compensation.
To answer your questions, I am always washing my car myself.
I never use a chemical product except the shompoining for cars.
Also, I have replace one wheel very recently (jan 2017) and the same problem start already to be visible.
I will post some pictures of the defect later.
I am a mechanical engineer, so I can tel if this is s quality defect or external damage
Just to know if there is any one who had the same and get some compensation from Mazda.
