Default Mazda 6 TS 2006 (UK), LOSS OF ACCELERATION FUNCTION

Been driving the above referred vehicle for just about an year now. One day, two weeks ago, while on a slow ride, she lost the acceleration function (the vehicle was with a mech after a dry shaft replacement). Following diagnosis by a bunch of mechs, I was told reason's that she blew out an IC that controls acceleration in the ECU. She'd also lost speedometer function a month ago before then. I've been told to replace the ECU. My personal ODB showed a throttle problem. An alternate mech told me to first service the throttle. I'm yet to do that. Just parked her since two weeks ago, still pondering on what to do with her. All other functions are okay I think. I only turn her on once in a few days. I feel already overwhelmed by her...
Kindly advise me.
