143ps Turbodiesel stumble in 5th gear
Hey Folks
I have a 2007 UK spec 6 TS2 with 143ps turbodiesel, with 6-spd manual. 1000 miles so far on this vehicle.
I have noticed a severe stumble when trundling along in 5th gear, around 2250rpm, and 62-65mph. If you tip into the throttle at this stage, the car does a serious stumble before regaining power.
Anyone else experienced this phenomenom ? Is it anything to be concerned about ? Maybe engine ECU fault ? Or is it something that dies off after break-in period ?
Any comments welcomed.
Thanks

Update...
The vehicle just returned from its 12K service. I mentioned the problem to the service manager, who did not seemed surprised. The problem was solved by remapping the ECU (uploading new software) . He said they are doing this procedure to 'every 6 that comes in for service' as a routine procedure, so it must be a factory recognized problem. Happy to report that there is now NO TRACE of the stumble, and that the car runs great - pulls like a train now, without a stumble anywhere in the rev range. Thought other owners might find this info useful.
