This is an odd problem that happens quite often. The car is off. I am sitting inside the car, getting ready to start the car. I press the break pedal expecting the KEY indicator light to turn
green on the dashboard. Nothing happens. No lights at all on the dashboard. I was having the same problem before, so I replaced the key fob battery. In the past, I thought that I was not depressing the brake pedal
far enough. Because I know the car will not start unless the brake pedal is pressed. Any idea what the problem could be?

 

Try pressing the start button with the key fob instead of your finger.

 

I think the problem is with the brake switch
