Default Engine start problem.

New 2024. A few times now, when going to start the car, the brake pedal feels solid when pressing to start the car, the pedal does not move at all. Nothing happens when we press the start button. We try again, the pedal moves slightly, and it starts! Any reason why?

If the brakes get pushed repeatedly while the car is off, it is supposed to become harder to push to the point where it is almost stuck. If you press it down and then start the car, it should feel like all of the pressure is released since the master cylinder is operating.

Ah thanks so much, that could be it. We've never had a keyless start before!

Yes, I realise that, It's just that on a keyed start, you don't notice that the pedal may go hard sometimes. Thanks.
