Question Immobilizer keeps blinking 24/7

I just bought a used 2013 Mazda 6 Station Wagon yesterday and just notice immobilizer indicator blinking after I replace car key remote battery. Remote is not functioning when it is handed to me, I just using the key to open and lock doors. I just want to know if it is normal for immobilizer indicator to blink 24/7 and off only after engine start and while car is running?

It shouldn't be on or flash when the engine is running. If it is, then its telling you there is a problem. Time for a code check.
