I bought a 2004 mazda 6 s last year, the car came with a keyless entry remote fcc:kpu41805. i have tried replacing the battery and programming the remote. Using the steps
1. lock/unlock
2. on and off 3 times
3. door open close 3 time
4. car response by locking unlocking
5. on remote push lock twice( no responses)

I also tested the keyless entry system it responded(lock/unlock trunk opened/ alarm went off)

i was thinking it could be the remote but i just ordered a new one and it still doesnt connect with the car.

please help.
