Default Engine Noise On Sharp Turns???

Happy Holidays everyone. I have recently been experiencing engine noise/knocking when making right angle turns. I haven't noticed anything like power loss or stalling; but I was wondering if it could possibly be a bad engine mount or maybe even a suspension issue?

Might be a CV joint boot has torn and thrown its grease. May need to take a look underneath (both sides) and check for tears & grease.

Might also be the sway bar end link; they like to knock when they go bad.

I'm having the same problem. I'm wondering if its related to my possible exhaust leak. If I'm at a stop light, turn my wheel all the way right, i get some of the engine noise too. I also get it in the AM when I do a cold start.....

"engine noise" is way to generic a term to read anything into it. We need a better description on what happens when.

Wow....turns out that it was low oil!!!! A couple days ago, the oil pressure warning light quickly flashed on and off as I was pulling into the parking lot at NTB!!! I had them refill it and the noise has gone away. Will be changing the PCV valve today!

And the thing is that I didn't notice anything amiss uless making turns which started about maybe two weeks ago. The nosie, as it turns out, was likely clatter from the vavles. The car is running fine now, with no excessive or unusual noises coming from the engine. I drove it to work this morning, which is about a 30 mile trip one way and it seems to be fine. My wife usually drives my car these days (ah...the married life) and I have never noticed the oil pressure warning light until this past Thursday. Hopefully, I didn't do too much damage there.

Cool

I have an automatic 6 speed tranny and when I go around right hand turns it is automatically in 3rd gear. So it lags a bit. I wish it would be in 2nd gear. Sometimes I drive around and manually select second just before the turn and properly accelerate out of it (goes to fun to drive Zoom Zoom).
