With all these TSB you come up with (thankful) , it is hard to keep track of in the future . Therefore , if an Admin. is reading this , we should have a way of tracking all these TSB and recalls in one area of this Forum , if there is already one that I am not aware of , please inform me .

Hi, We have just had exactly the same problem with our Mazda 5 with a mileage of 19000. We also have been told that it is down to our driving! We are just about to take it up with Mazda and will let you know how we get on. If any one else has had the same problem would really be glad to hear from you as we have had a constant battle with them over the wear on the tyres and now it seems that everyone is experiencing similar problems.

I had the Same problem at 22,000 miles for my 2003 6s. The dealership told me it was a wear item and gave me a quote. I had been experiencing problems with it before it went out and luckily notified the dealership. They checked it out and said there was nothing wrong. I had to get it replaced but made me drop their asking price to 1/2 of the original quote. Basically it was some bull****. I am now 40,000 into my second clutch and it feels like it may be starting to wear out. I plan on getting the clutch replaced but by someone else besides the Mazda Dealership.

I just recently had a problem with my 2005 6 as well. I had about 29800 miles when my car started giving me issues. I was having trouble getting the car into gear and finally one night it was almost impossible to do but I was lucky enough to be right down the road from a dealership and was able to get it into first and drive over. I was called the following day and told that my clutch needed to be replaced and that it wasn't covered under the warranty. My suggestion for anyone who is having a similiar issue would be to contact Mazda Customer care. It took about a week of complaining as well as mentioning that I had read about people with similiar issues on this site but they finally took the time to look into what could have happened. Apparently a spring popped and broke two of the fingers on my pressure plate which in turn ruined my entire clutch assembly. Because the spring is not related to operator controls Mazda agreed to fix the problem. I saved $900 but it took some persuasive arguing to get that far.
