Default replace clutch slave -no pressure on clutch peddle

i just bought a 1991 mazda miata - clutch was very high and read that it might be the clutch slave - inexpensive and easy to replace - followed video and emptied old brake fluid - put in new slave - replace fluid but interesting none came out of connection - clutch peddle goes to the floor with no resistance and no bubbles in reservior or coming out of slave - no drainage of fluid - like there is a blockage - air? did I break something? forget to do something so that I can bleed the air out and have the brake fluid travel down the tube to the slave- any thought appreciated - thanks

There might be air trapped in the cylinder.
Try bleeding it again. I suppose you have a helper to push the clutch pedal while you open/close the bleeder.

You could also try pumping fluid through the bleeder up into the lines and the reservoir.

You may have to allow it to gravity bleed in order to get a really good pedal. Just leave the bleeder on the slave open for several hours, but check the fluid level every so often to be sure you don't run low.
Short of that, you could invest in a reverse bleeder which forces fluid up into the master from the slave's bleeder valve.
