Default Check Engine Light

Hi everyone,
I'm having some issues with the CEL on my 2004 Mazda6. It blinks and it feels like the car is about to sputter out, but it only happens when its rained a lot. Just wondering what is going on and if the rain is making the spark plugs misfire or something. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!

Do you have an aftermarket air intake by chance?

I also had that problem and I took it to an Autozone and had it tested. The small blacktubingnear your air filter mayhave beenloosened by mistakewhen your air filter was replaced.

I had this exact same thing happen to my car. I tried to get the code read at Autozone but it just said something like "random electrical error". The CEL would blink and the car would run really rough, then eventually it would go off all together. I finally got it in to the dealer with the light still on and it turned out to be an engine coil. Cost about $400 to fix.

My CEL is on as well and I can feel it misfire when it gets above 32 degrees and the air is moist. I have replaced the spark plugs as they had been in for just over 100,000 miles. I am guessing the ignition coils need replaced. Found them for 68.95 each x 6 would be just over $400 to do it myself. Should be an easy repair as I've changed the plugs recently and know how to get to them all now. Any other suggestions? I think my car senses when I get a raise because I immediately have to spend the money on IT!
