2008 Mazda 6 2.0 Diesel Poor\uneven performance.
2008 Mazda 6 GH RF 2007 (2.0 MZR-CD) 140hp Engine 6 spd MT
I just got this car very cheap from a friend. 111k miles 180k km Have good service history.
Its my first Mazda but torque and hp is pretty universal and i am pretty sure alot of these horses are currently elsewhere
Sometimes the car pulls good, but not great. Most of the time its really slow and sluggish. Can feel some extra pull around 2k rpm but not alot compared the whole rpm registry.
The weird thing is sometimes i can feel it improves or gets worse in a corner when i take the turn hard.
Seems to happen in left turns.
This has happened a couple of times only so not a reliable symptom. The car had 3\4 tank of Diesel.
Today it was colder than usual and it performed way better. Not good enough tho and i know it is because the density of colder air into the engine, but the difference was pretty big compared
to the few degrees difference. I can also add it was a little rainy and misty.
I have had alot of different brands Turbo diesels and wouldnt point out the last part unless its alot more change than im used to.
Oils and all filters are changed recently, no error codes with a dealership scan tool.
No smoke what so ever of any color from the exhaust when hot and pushed hard. Even very little when cold. DPF was sorted 6 months ago.
Not sure if it was "cleaned" or changed.
Engine runs smooth without any weird sounds at all. I can add its pretty jerky under 1500rpm when driving in dense traffic. (Manual Transmission)
Just to clarify for comparison its not very easy to get wheelspin on stock tires in 1th gear with traction off. I dont know if they are made like this or not
Thank you for reading this wall of text, and thanks in advance for your comment.
