Default 2003 Mazda 6 Oil/Tranny

Hi I'm new and just had a couple of questions? I own a 2003 Mazda6 2.3 4cyl. I have some mantinance questions. What type of fluids are you supposed to use? Engine oil...conventional or synthentic..what does the factory recommend? Also tranny I was told it takes synthetic fluid and its the M5 type fluid. I went to Mazda bought the M5 fluid but nowhere does it say synthetic. Are these cars supposed to take synthetic? thanks for your help? One last thing the coolant what color, green, orange, purple? thanks for your help!!!

I only use synthetics in my 6. I have replaced everything with Amsoil products.

if you have an MTX you have to be careful about using any GL5 type lubes. IIRC they have something in them that is bad for yellow metals and eats away at them. i think the amoil gl5 fluid is safe for our syncos(yellow metal)

just be sure to use something that is yellow metal friendly
