I have a nice print-out of the wheel alignment figures if anyone is interested. I could scan it and post it on here.
....
Dave.
Please, do it so.

Thanks.

OK, here's the print-out of the "after" figures. In tiny print is the acceptable window for each measurement, which is why I've made it such a large image - to give us all a chance of reading them.

This printout came with the heading:

To Mazda Bulletin No. CR039 4/4/07

I have compared these figures with the ones from the wheel alignment I had to pay for back in March 2007, and they are the same, so I suppose that is encouraging.

With regards to HOW they adjusted the rear camber, I'm afraid I have no idea, I left it with the dealer and kept my fingers crossed!

Cheers
Dave.

Just one doubt ....

Since i am from Portugal where the metric system is used, after reading your printout i did not figured out if the values on it represents inches or degrees.

Can you tell me the measure unit present in the values listed on the printout?

The values are all in degrees and minutes, (60 minutes = 1 degree).

This caused confusion last March when I was trying to get the correct figures, as some people were talking in degrees, and some in millimeters (mm).

To be honest, I don't know the exact changes they made, other than they realigned the geometry on the rear of the car.

I have no measurements before or after, but my dealer said that the settings were passed onto MMUK, who would be monitoring progress.

I am sure that MMUK will have passed any relevant info onto the dealers who in turn should be able to fix everyones problems.

Had my alignment done at ~ 3k miles and my first service at 6.5k miles. Tyres on the front were past the treadwear markers on the outside edge and worn on the inside edge.

The service manager attempted to fob me off with under inflated tyres but after i had requested he go fourth and multiply he soon backed down and took piccies of the tyres to send to Mazda.

I have today (3 weeks later) recieved 50% back for the cost of the x2 replacement michelin tyres (£140 refund). Don't let the dealer get away with it...........

Still annoyed though at getting a £645 bill (including tyres prior to refund) for a first service!!!!

Hi chaps, I have just had my car back to the dealer......... for a service... Tyres all wearing evenly.

No problems

Can I suggest that you do two things;
1. Talk with the senior service manager or dealer principal or General manager of the dealership. Discuss the issue with them.
2. Ring/email jon smith. at MMUK details in this thread.

Be persistent but polite.
Good luck

Well hello fellow 5 owners its been along time sinceI've been on here!! Just came on to check how everyones tyres are going on since the alignment has been done!!!

Well mine was going fine untila about 2k ago I noticed slight wear on the out side edges, but now another 1k down the road and yes they are completely bald AGAIN!!!!!!!!
taken it back to the dealer as it due for its 25k service and they are going to have a look at it!!!
Im not very happy cos yet again it will be another set of tyres on mine yes it will be the FOURTH SET at 25k.

Its great to see that all your cars are ok I just wish mine wasnt still eating the front tyres after the change.

would be grate full to hear from anyone still having any problems with theirs as i say its only the fronts on the outside edge now !!!
