multiple new slave cylinder failures
I just had a new exceedy clutch kit installed on a 2014 5. After 25 miles the slave started leaking fluid so the dealership installed a new one. After 50 miles or so the seal broke on the slave and emptied the break fluid. I confirmed it was coming from the slave by pressing on the boot and the fliud spurted out. The dealer called it a faulty install and put another one on. Same result with the third slave after 20 miles. The dealer told me that the slave they have access to is not the same that was originally used by mazda as it is not manufactured anymore. They also told me pressure from the exceedy clutch is too great for the slave they have and I need to obtain an "enhanced" slave that can handle said pressure. Has anyone encountered anything like this?
