Default Amp...Firewall location.....2010 US version

Hello All......
I've been scouring the internet all day looking for a place to run a power cable for an amp.

I can't seem to find ANYTHING regarding the Mazda 5.......

I just need an easy location......pics....video.......
Something lol. I don't have a drill and therefore can't make my own......

I've read behind the glovebox but dont know how to remove that.......

People talk of other places.........I can't see any

Edit: just some general knowledge.....I managed to swap out my speakers. This part has me baffled.

Thanks in advance.

I have a 2010 that I purchased a JLAudio Power Max enclosure for. Also, I have (on the way) a JBL 4ch amp coming. I plan to install both of these. I read on another site that there is an access hole (covered) right beneath where the steering column passes thru the firewall. You may have to go underneath the vehicle to locate it. I'm just waiting for my second amp to get here and then I will start my own install. You seem pretty capable as you've already swapped out your own speakers. getting it thru the firewall may be the hardest part, after that its a piece of cake. I know best buy charges 100 dollars or so. Try again to do it yourself, then you can use the money for something else. Unless you have more money than available time....

Yeah, it's super frustrating.....
I've managed to switch both sets of speakers....Remove the paneling....Ran all my lines.......

For the life of me I can't find the access hole. Someone told me that there is one behind the glove box, but once again I'm not sure on how to remove that......

Mazda 5 doesn't seem too friendly with Aftermarket Audio

I took the battery out and loosened up the tray and was able to see the the white cap that bracedeunos and joe mama mentioned. it is just to the left and under the brake booster. Also from the inside, you can access the rectangle hole which is actually hidden behind the insulation. If you look you can see the outline of the rectangle embossed in the padding. Also, Mazda was nice enough to pre-cut it so it opens as a flap from the bottom and sides. Oh, I did take a picture of it~~~~>Name: DSC06515.jpg
