Does anyone know how to rewire the front (center console/dash) accessory outlet so it is powered even when the ignition is off? I'm tired of dead batteries in my cell phone and GPS - they both get charged from the front accessory outlet.
The rear accessory outlet stays on all the time. I want the front one to work the same way as the rear one. Do I have to charge my stuff from the rear accessory outlet?

The headlights stay on but the accessory outlet turns off with the ignition - who's stupid idea was that? And why do I have to reset the HVAC controls every time I start the car?

PS: I have a 2012 Mazda5.
