Default 2007 Mazda 5 ts2 airbag light blinking

Hi,

First time Mazda owner here, I did do a search relating to my issues however it all seems to be conflicting advise.

I purchased a 2007 Mazda 5 a few days ago, when bought the airbag light would go out shortly after starting but then start flashing.

From what I can tell it's 2 short blinks followed by 4 long.

I cleaned the car out yesterday and removed loads of rubbish from under the seats. After this the next time I started it the airbag light would pass the check and then remain off.

Today however it's back flashing again. I've taken a look under the seats and the drivers side one isn't hooked into the base of the seat so I think someone has tried solving this before.

I've seen about removing the white and yellow plugs and re seating them, issue is how do I remove them? Didn't want to pull the wires too hard in case there's a clip I need to undo first to loosen them?

Have plugged in my code reader but it only picked up an o2 sensor fault and nothing for the airbags.

Other than this the cars great & hopefully I can keep it!

Thanks

Small update, light has now gone out again.

I'm guessing there's a break in a wire somewhere? Is there a common fault place on these that would be causing the problem?
