the command console for the Mazda is prob the worst as a human factors and attention diversion. my wife’s 2018 takes forever to boot up - im already a mile from house when the agree message comes up, it defaults to a worthless communication page, the spinner and the buttons behind the shifter are very dangerous and the display is always five minutes behind whats going on.

has anyone told mazda this before?

 

I agree with the concern about the start-up delay. To make it even worse, the gps system is so much easier to setup when the vehicle is not moving.

It is is much faster in the 2019 3, it only takes me a half mile to begin connecting to podcasts. Unfortunately, I am a half mile from the police station so I am searching for a podcast on the phone as I pass the police station every morning. I think I need to refine my morning routine.

 

Sounds like you need a software update. Go back to Mazda. Latest is V70.00.335
