Default Traffic Sign Recognition

I'm in the US and have the Premium. I do not get any traffic signs on the heads up display - they only show up on the dash console. I had Mazda check the car and they state all is correct. Is this an option that is not included within the US?

I don't know if it should be on the head up display, I have the Preferred without the head up display, however:

Do you see the traffic signs on the dash and the red line on the speedometer at the speed limit? This is not "Recognition" but the speed according to the GPS. This is only available if you are not using Apple CarPlay / Android Auto and are relying on the Mazda GPS system.

I would assume that if it is available in the head up display, you would only get it if you used the Mazda GPS. (Which is crazy since they seem to be encouraging the use of the phone systems).

You must have Navigation for this feature. We found out the hard way. That's how they get you. It will show up not on the HID but in the middle of your gauge cluster. Nice feature though. I have it on my Tucson as well and love it.
