Virgin1, 12 years old, 101,000 miles
I am experiencing two issues with my old 3 HB. Has anyone else had these issues and what was the fix?
1. When the weather is hot, and ONLY when it's hot it idles roughly in a very annoying way. This happens with, or without the A/C on. The car never idled in what I would call a 'civil' way, always a little crudely, but this is driving me crazy!!
2. When I first get into drive and begin rowing through the gears (5-speed,) all is normal. But after less than a mile the shift become stiff and even vague? If I row through the gears before leaving, the problem seems better, but still there later on. I have lubed EVERYTHING under the console, but that didn't do much, if anything to elevate the problem.
I have a TWM short shifter and a James Baron Racing heavy **** that have been in the car for literally many years now and have never had a problem with it. In fact I don't think that's the problem now.
