Are USB audio issues fixed now?

Default Are USB audio issues fixed now?

I'm looking at buying a 2017-18 Mazda3. I'd like to use the car with USB audio, but the last time I drove a Mazda3 (2016 model) it had a lot of issues with the stereo. Can anyone tell me if they've been fixed?

1) On restart, the USB disk reverts to the first song on the disk (or loses its place, in general)
2) Lack of folder names
3) Playing music in alphabetical order rather than album order or disk order
4) “And more of that sort of thing”
5) Not recognizing AAC (this isn't a dealbreaker)

I know there have been many updates but I don't know if these issues have been addressed on the 2017-18 series.

Thanks...

I got an answer on mazda3revolution - https://www.mazda3revolution.com/thr.../#post-2474299

Basically Tristan CX5 said that the “reset on restart” issue was fixed. The latest firmware also allows AAC, in theory at least, and should fix the other issues.

USB audio worked pretty well in my 2017 Mazda 3, but I primarily used playlists. Occasionally playlist files would get messed up, but I found it didn’t happen as frequently if I limited the number of songs on the playlist.

Playlists makes sense. Though then I have to know what I want in advance!
