Default Adding a USB port?

Since just about everything charges over USB these days I am considering how to add a permanent USB port to support power. Anyone else looked into this? Ideally the charging would work even with the vehicle off but I can accept if that is just not possible.

Ideas? Pointers to other blogs, forums, whatever welcomed.

Still enjoying my new zoom-zoom, just looking for ways to increase the creature comforts. One more power jack, especially a dedicated USB one would have been nice.

not sure how to do it, but I agree that it would be a great idea. - The stereo should also support mp3 playback via USB flash drive - not sure why so few stereos support this, but it would be fantastic if they all did.

If you can't figure out how to install a USB, for about $7 (US) you can get a cigarette light plug that has just a USB input on it - saw it at Walgreen's yesterday - I have a 3 plug extension with a USB port on it from Think Geek so I didn't need the plug

Hello Everyone,

I started working on one for my 3. It has 4 USB ports. It will handle 5 amps. I have all the electronic components. I am planning to buy a 5 in the next day or two. I plan on redoing the circuit board to fit the 5. If you want to talk about it more you can contact me through the homepage of my web site nemocam.com.

Regards,
Dennis
